Police Department Open House

The Farmington Police Department Open House will be held Saturday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the police station, 19500 Municipal Dr.

“The Open House is an opportunity for us to commemorate Police Week 2019 and invite the public to tour our offices, see some of our specialized gear, have some food and some fun, and most importantly, meet some of the amazing people that protect this great community,” said Police Chief Gary Rutherford.

The open house is free to attend. Here's the list of what will be there:

  • Three food trucks: Kona Ice, North Star Donuts and Philly Express.
  • Tours of the police station, squad cars and SWAT vehicles
  • K-9 demonstrations
  • Life Link III helicopter appearance
  • Dakota County Drone Team
  • Bounce houses
  • Photo opportunities with the squad cars and an officer cut out
At the event, the department will be raising money for Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) which provides resources to help families and coworkers cope with the tragic loss of officers killed in the line of duty.
