Pink Patch Project - Wednesday, Oct. 1 - Friday, Oct. 31
During the month of October, the Farmington Police Department will, again, participate in the Pink Patch Project. This initiative is a public awareness campaign designed to raise awareness and money for cancer. This is accomplished by creating a pink version of the police department's patch, coin, or other memorabilia. The program originated in 2013 at a California police agency and focused on breast cancer. Today the concept has spread to hundreds of law enforcement agencies throughout the world and raises money for a variety of cancer-related causes and charities.
Get your Pink Patch merch at the PD lobby Monday - Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm. Check out what is for sale on the Community Outreach & Events page.
All October long Beans & Boots Coffee will offer a Pink Dirty Soda to support breast cancer research! Stop by Beans & Boots to grab yours. The Pink Patch Drink is white lotus energy, strawberry puree, soda water and a splash of cream.
