Please help keep fire hydrants in your neighborhood clear and accessible for emergency crews.
It can take firefighters 3–7 minutes to dig out a snow-covered hydrant, depending on its location and how packed in the snow is. Fire engines typically carry only 2–4 minutes of water, so any delay in accessing a hydrant can significantly impact firefighting efforts, when every second counts.
A few minutes of your time clearing a hydrant could make a life-saving or house-saving difference. Thank you for helping keep our community safe!
