[ARCHIVED] Adopt-a-Pond - Volunteer Opportunity

Adopt-a-Pond top of sign design illustration with a pond, rocks and grass

Adopt an available pond for a two-year commitment, and at least two times per year, clean up debris, garbage, dirt/sediment, or weeds from the pond. Get your family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers together and make an event out of it! Our Adopt-A-Pond program encourages city residents, community groups, and businesses to get outside, connect with the environment, and protect our natural resources.

Once you adopted a pond you can participate in Pond and Park Cleanup Day!

Join your friends and neighbors for the 24th annual Pond and Park Cleanup event! Individuals and groups are invited to do some outdoor spring cleaning in the city owned parks and ponds. The city will provide volunteers with supplies and dispose of the trash collected. Supplies can be picked up in city hall parking lot on Saturday, May 3 from 9 am to 10 am. Can't make it? Contact Water Resource Specialist McKenna Rodine at 651-280-6703 or email McKenna by Sunday, April 20.
