[ARCHIVED] Adopt-a-Park - Volunteer Opportunity

Adopt-a-Park sign illustration with two trees and leaves surrounding the letters

The City of Farmington is looking for volunteers to make a two year commitment to assist city staff with maintaining a park. In exchange for service, a sign will be posted in the park to recognize the volunteers or organization. Get your family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers together and make an event out of it! Our Adopt-A-Park program encourages city residents, community groups, and businesses to get outside, connect with the environment, and protect our parks.

Available parks:

  • Distad Park and Greenway
  • Fair Hills Park
  • Troy Hill Park

Once you adopted a park you can participate in Pond and Park Cleanup Day!

Join your friends and neighbors for the 24th annual Pond and Park Cleanup event! Individuals and groups are invited to do some outdoor spring cleaning in the city owned parks and ponds. The city will provide volunteers with supplies and dispose of the trash collected. Supplies can be picked up in city hall parking lot on Saturday, May 3 from 9 am to 10 am. Can't make it? Contact Recreation Supervisor Emilee Shearer at 651-280-6854 or email Emilee by Sunday, April 20.
