Celebrating Farmington's Entrepreneurs!

November is National Entrepreneurship Month, a time to celebrate the innovators and small business owners who help shape Farmington’s identity and drive our local economy.

From cozy coffee shops to cutting-edge startups, local businesses are the heartbeat of our community. They create jobs, enhancing our quality of life, and contributing to Farmington’s continued growth.

To support this entrepreneurial spirit, Farmington partners with several organizations that offer valuable tools and resources. Listed below are just a few of those resources:

  • Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers (MCCD) – Offers small business loans, technical assistance, and training for underserved entrepreneurs.
  • Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) – Provides grants, startup support, and business development programs.
  • Dakota County Regional Chamber – Chamber members have access to advocacy events as well as networking and training provided by the Chamber.

These programs help ensure that Farmington remains a place where businesses can thrive—whether you're just starting out or ready to expand.

Let’s celebrate the entrepreneurs who make Farmington vibrant, resilient, and full of opportunity.
