K9 Unit

The Farmington Police Department has one officer assigned to the K9 Unit. Officer Bob Hagfors and K9 Smoke were partnered in 2022.

Smoke has been entered into the Aftermath K9 Grant program. This program runs at various times throughout the year.

Dakota County Heroes completed a fundraiser for Smoke's Vest. Thanks to the generosity of community members and Farmington businesses Pam McCarthy American Family Insurance, Dick's Valley Service, Inc and local Lemonade Entrepreneur, James from Empire, Smoke got his vest in 2023!
